Avery Boardman creates sofas, sofa beds and custom upholstery that meet these high standards by making them one at a time. This company is the oldest firm in the world manufacturing and selling sofa beds exclusively to the design community. My philosophy is "Being the biggest isn't as important as being the best. I think customers understand the difference and are willing to pay more for an individually crafted piece of furniture. That's why our entire manufacturing operation promotes individuality."

I spend whatever amount of time necessary to insure that the style, the design, the comfort of each piece is perfect. At our headquarters in New Jersey, every employee has to sign off on every facet of his work. That means every cutter, every woodworker, every upholsterer has a sense of individual pride.

Our pieces are constructed with kiln-dried hardwood frames that are doweled, glued and installed with the finest mechanism ever designed to house the high-coil count, inner-spring mattress. Our workmen are craftsmen who have the expert knowledge to work with down-and-feather, spring-and-down and foam-and down. Every step is a high-quality effort. The result is that our furniture has a look and feel that separates it from all the others.
